More milestone ...

Where is my baby going? I mean seriously! At 7.5 months Miss Elles has mastered sitting to standing with any kind of support! Here is a picture I captured while she was in action! Oh, and of course she has to do it right by the TV, please pray for us that our TV lasts! ;)

Here are a few more pictures just because she is just so darn cute!

We are lovely our lip stick these days!
Oh yes, only because we can ....

Boxes are really fun these days ...

Disneyland

I was a tad nervous about taking a 7 month old baby to Disneyland but the hubby insisted that it was a fabulous idea! We ventured out and accomplished the vacation and we had an amazing time. We went with our friends and their kids, my mom and aunt.

The ride down there was a smooth 6 hour drive. Ellie was amazing! Then next three days consisted of long days at the park and fun kid dinners. As our friends have three kiddies! Ellie went on several rides and loved them all. We met many characters and the majority of the time she loved them and was not scared at all ... shocking! I mean what kid would not love a giant figure (compared to them) with an enormous head ... I mean what is there not to love! The one thing I did learn is that will miss elles turns 3 we are going to spend the $$$, to be exact $220 to do the princess makeover! I mean all the little girls walking around the park with their sparkly hair, cute little pink cheeks, a tiara, a princess ensemble, and mini high heels what is there not to love! They were all so proper walking around in the park looking like they just won the lottery. I LOVED IT!!!

Now the return drive ... now that is a story to tell! First off this all happened within the first two hours which should have only taken us an hour! Ellie has a MAJOR blowout! Poop everywhere, all over her outfit, on her car seat ... oh and she is eating real food so it STUNK!!! Pull over please ... i am gong to barf! Our friends stopped with us to help us clean the explosion. Twenty minutes pass, the phone rings ... mmmm we must pull over again. Our friends kid puked EVERYWHERE! Their car now smells worse then ours, as milk puke STINKS!!! Off we go again, three minutes later ... "PLEASE PULL YOUR CAR OVER" a cop car yells at us ... ummmm great! I am pumping at this point and I cant stop mid pump I mean this is like liquid gold! As the police comes over to my window as says mama you donnnnn'ttttt, oh WOW! Yes sir, I am pumping and that is why the front part of the seat belt is behind me! His face turns BRIGHT RED and as every second passes his face gets more red and he starts to fumble all his words! It was AWESOME! I loved seeing this young cop squirm! Needless to say we were off again without a ticket and a cop left dumb founded! Another half an hour goes by ... I smell something, must be Ellie's stinky diaper, a few minutes later ... no it is getting worse. Oh yes, Ellie had another MASIVE explosion! GREAT! Pull over please, we all pull over once again clean her up and eat at Jack in the Box! Oh how I love those tacos sober or not ... yummy, with curly fries and a diet coke, please! Thank god after that we drove 6 hours straight home! HOME SWEET HOME!!!

First ROAD TRIP = Success!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures!!!

ROAD trip ...

We are attempting our first family road trip with miss elle! We are taking her to Disneyland!! What a lucky little girl, this 7 month old baby has already been to Oregon and Cancun, Mexico and is now heading to Disneyland! Alex said it takes 6 hours without a baby so we are adding on an extra 2 hours. WOW, it is going to be a long, long day! The best part is my mom is coming too! My first Mother's Day will be spent with my mom, the new mommy ( ME!) and my beautiful daughter! I am the luckiest girl alive! Another exciting note is that my aunt is coming and our very good friends with their 3 kids, including our godson! We are going to have a blast!

How do you prepare for a road trip with a 7 month old .... oh, I know, you buy out Buy Buy Baby! I think I may have went a TAD overboard ... ok, I went WAY overboard. We have new food carriers, new car seat adaptor for our new stroller, and of course a few new outfits!
Ellie has never been in a stroller all day so I decided it is better to be prepared that way she can face us if she wants or face out. Options, options, options! That is my motto with this baby. We went to have a blast and be out all day so elle needs to be comfortable.

Wish us luck!!!

Full car, baby, and 8 hours on the road equals DAUNTING!!!

Look who is 7 months old!

Ellie is celebrating her 7 month birthday on Cinco de Mayo, I think we need to toast with a margarita!! Cheers!!

Here are a few facts to keep you updated on the life with this BUSY little girl:

  • 16 lbs
  • 28 inches
  • She is a big time giggler and thinks everything is funny!
  • No teeth yet, which is nice for this breastfeeding mama!
  • She is wearing a size 3 diaper
  • She is wearing 6 - 9 and 6 - 12 months clothes!
  • She has mastered crawling
  • She is starting to pull up on things
  • She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES, food! She has eaten butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots so far her favorites are the squash and sweet potatoes. Not such a big fan of carrots! I don't blame her the other two choices are much tastier!
  • Sleeping at night is on and off! I feel like it is more off then on! :(
  • She NEVER EVER sits still any more!!!
  • She is a big time babbler.. wonder where she gets that from, wink!

Silly Girl!

Everything is funny!

Love you baby girl and your sweet little face!

All I can say is it is OVER!!!

WOW, it has been a long couple of weeks! I have been working till about midnight to two am almost everyday for the past two weeks! Work has been absolutely crazy! I was promised this wouldn't happen but of course, it did. I have had many ups and downs ... the successful part is that I made it through it alive and in one piece. I also was able to keep up my pumping so miss elles can be purely breastfed! For that I owe myself a huge mommy hi five! I promise I will jump on the blogging band wagon again because their have been so many great adventures that came about these past 14 or so days. I also need to download a bunch of pictures! Always to much to do and not enough time!

On another note I did decide I am not one of those mommies who needs adult interaction. I am perfectly happy at home playing with my baby girl and doing fun projects with her. The DREAM ... stay at home mommy! One can always dream!

Till next time ...
