Dear miss elle ... PLEASE go back to your old sleeping ways!!!

Oh dear lord ... this has been a rough week for us in the sleep department! Miss elle has been an AMAZING sleeper since about 3 1/2 weeks old. Her sleeping pattern consisted of 6 - 8 hours the first stretch, feeding time, and then straight down for another 3 - 4 hours. If I push it I could feed her again and she would go back down for about another 1 - 2 hours! We have been SPOILED!!! This past week she has been up about every 2 - 3 hours, the hubs and I are EXHAUSTED!!! Saturday night was by far the worst, I was up with her from 9pm - 4:30am and then Alex came up with his own plan to get her to sleep (he put her in her crib and slept on the floor of her room) it worked great, she slept from 4:30 - 9:30am straight! I guess she wanted to have a slumber party, who knows! She has been in her crib for almost 2 months now so I can't imagine she hates it after the fact, but maybe she does. Honestly, I think she started the 4 month wakeful time early! :( I am praying to the sleeping goods that she goes back to her old ways soon!! I also bought the Seahorse from Fisher Price out of sheer desperation, wish me luck!!! I will let you know if it is worth your $14!

Big week for little miss elle!

She started off the week by finding her toes and a few minutes later taught herself a new trick ... my toes are so yummy!!! As a former gymnast, I think that this is absolutely hysterical!

On Tuesday, we hit another milestone and learned to roll from our back to our tummy! Now every time we put her down she is a rolling machine! The bad part is she is not very good at rolling from stomach to back any more as the back to tummy is way more fun. Here are a few pictures I got while she accomplished her new trick!

Thursday brought another exciting day for little miss elle, she got her ears pierced!! She barely cried and I do have to say I was a little worried it wouldn't look cute but I think it is ADORABLE!!!

What a busy weekend, but loved every minute of it!

Our weekend was so fabulous, first off it was 65-70 degrees in January (AMAZING), we went wine tasting, and then I donated about 400 oz of breast milk (yes, I am like a human COW ... MOOOO!!!) over to a Mom who needed it for her little girl! I couldn't have asked for a better couple of days!

We did wine tasting in Morgan Hill with a twist! We were helping one of our best friends take her cousins engagement pictures in the amazing vineyards in Morgan Hill, while stopping by each tasting room to quench our thirst! Our favorite was Guglielmo's Almond Champagne. So yummy!!!

Of course, we took miss ellie with us, as she goes where ever we go! I didn't even think twice of not taking her wine tasting! LOL!!! Baby's like wine too plus, she is half Sicilian!! As we were tasting our wine and ellie was enjoying a nap a lady walked into the room and said, "oh thank god I am not the only one who would bring an infant into the winery." I looked at her and said, it never even crossed my mind NOT to bring her!! I guess I have to remember that she is not an adult! It was pretty funny! I think the lady was shocked that I didn't even think twice about not bring her, her faced said it all after I made that remark!

I have been producing more milk then miss ellie eats, I am extremely blessed and so fortunate as I know so many people struggle with breastfeeding! My whole freezer was full plus my in-laws freezer and after doing some research I found Eats on Feets on Facebook which is truly an awesome and easy way to donate or request breastmilk. I met this lovely lady who took all my extra milk and was so thankful! She brought me homemade baked goodies and lemons from her tree! If I have extra breastmilk in the future I will be sure to use this site again as it was so easy! I love helping anyone I can!

A new adventure ...

I have decided to join the blogging world! I am a new mom to a beautiful baby girl named Ellie Laureen! She is the new love of our life and I couldn't imagine life without her! Ellie was born on October 5, 2010 at 10:07Am, weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 20 inches long via a c-section. I was in labor for about 27 hours after being 2 weeks over due! Miss Ellie sure took her time coming into this world. She had personality from day 1, wish us luck!!! Here are a few pictures from the hospital. Enjoy!!!
